Went out today to catch some sun, yes there was actually sun outside and I loved it. Although it was short lived as most of the day it was still pretty cloudy. Oh well. I was out on the streets and saw this weird shoe in a lamp. Don't know how the shoe got there or why it's even in there, but I just had to take a picture of it.

Just a macro shot of my typewriter. I think the sun is officially on holiday, since it's been another week filled with overcast days and dreary clouds and bleakness. I love how this macro shot turned out. i love the repetition of the shapes and the composition. I hope next week will be better.

This is the only shot I got to take yesterday. I didn't get a chance to upload since I was out with my friends catching up and eating at this burger joint called unburger. They make some gourmet burgers for a pretty cheap price. The burgers are pretty tasty, at least from the one burger I ordered. I'll definitely be going back there sometime in the future.

I've always wanted to do something with a paper towel, that's weird I know. I'm trying more abstract things right now since it's been cloudy, meaning no sun at all for the past 3 days or so. I got my impossible film yesterday. I got the black frame black and white film along with some nd filters to use with the film since I got film for 600 polaroid cameras. Danbo wanted a portrait with my polaroid, so I let granted his wish.

This didn't go exactly as planned, I wanted a bigger white wall and to have the yellow of the banana peel stand out more, but this is what I came up with. Danbo was playing around after I was finished with the ice and this is what happened, he fell through, but luckily it wasn't too deep for him so he wasn't really in any trouble. He still played around though even though he almost got frostbite playing in the ice.

I got this new app called Penki. It lets you make 3D light paintings with your iphone, ipad, or ipod touch. All you basically have to do is drag it across at a slight angle across where you want it and voila. This is one of my first attempts and since I have an older iphone I have to keep trying to get better at this.

Danbo was just hugging the lens I rented since he loved the close up of him that I was able to do thanks to the lens. I think he hugged it a little too much and too long. But I didn't want to get in between Danbo and the lens.

This wasn't the original idea for today's 365, but my other idea of a self portrait with the clouds again didn't work out, the light was just too boring, I need some more sunlight later in the day, I hate that I get out of class and there is basically no light anymore. I'm gonna try that idea when I don't have class anymore and see how that works out.

This is from my first roll of fuji velvia from my Holga 120FN. I didnt have a scanner available and I couldn't wait to upload some of the shots from the roll. I just used my macro lens and homemade light box to take a "scan" of some of the shots. They turned out pretty well.

Believe it or not Danbo was smiling in this shot. He wanted some close-ups so I decided to take advantage while I still had a macro lens. This isn't anything special but I still like it. Danbo looked especially dashing today, I think he had a good day lol. I can't wait for tomorrow, I'm going to a friends art exhibition/Chinese Dumpling Tasting tomorrow.
